Production Practices
We believe natural is better. Our piglets are farrowed on grass fields without the use of farrowing crates, heat lamps, or barns. Co-nursing is always encouraged once the piglets are four days old, besides it literally takes a village to raise these adorable piglets. We watch our sows and piglets very closely and weaning can take place anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks.
We are a closed herd no live animals are brought to our farm for bio-security reasons without a 90 day quarantine. It is our belief that closed herd systems improve gilt acclimation and stabilize herd immunity, as well as many typical swine diseases. This also gives us the added benefit of never having to use any vaccines on our feeder hogs or unnecessary antibiotics. Just clean wholesome melt in your mouth luscious Heritage Breed Pork from our farm to your table!
Grazing, Pasture and Nutrient Management Practices
Our pigs free range 24/7 and we use rotational grazing for feeder hogs. Feeders are continually moved onto fresh pasture with electric fence netting and solar energizers, which allow our pastures to rest in between each litter.

We have worked exclusively on our genetics and are extremely proud of our old fashioned Heritage Breed Hogs. These are not your normal hogs, these bloodlines are from our forefathers when hogs thrived on pastures, not in confined barns!
