Pradaria Farm
Grassland in Portuguese (Pradaria) encompasses all that our farm is- simply livestock, pasture, clean air, and water. This simple approach to farming is the root that drives our growth and dedication to producing only clean food. Our mission statement is: Premium food thats grown with integrity, placing quality of life and taste to the forefront of production.

Grazing, Pasture and Nutrient Management Practices
Our animals are never confined unless sick, with the exception of our ram. We practice holistic planned grazing, based upon the four ecosystem processes(Community Dynamics, Water cycle, Mineral cycle, Energy flow) we plan paddock moves, duration of grazing, lambing, crops and any other management concerns like wildlife habitat while taking into account the time of year and rate of grass growth, in advance of the grazing season on paper. We have 80 paddocks meaning we have 80 days of rest per paddock breaking the worm cycles that tend to be in the 20 to 30 day range. We put the manure where we want it by managing the placement of our livestock and using poultry to spread the manure returning it to the soil, stimulating the soil microbes.
Environmental Conservation
Although not recognized as a Restoration Project holistic management principles fundamentally address creation of wildlife habit and wetland restoration.
