We are a USDA Grade A dairy offering a herd-share program. For our herd-share members we produce many wonderful dairy based products. These of course are all made right here on the farm! Additionally we offer seasonal grass fed beef, pork, lamb, chicken, bones, lard and tallow. We have supplemental whey for pigs and milk for hand reared calves for sale. Finally if you’re looking for beautiful compost for your organic farm or garden you have come to the right place! We have the finest dairy compost available!

You may find our products right here on our farm. Additionally we have drop off spots for our herd-share members in Portland, Redmond, Bend, and the Medford/Ashland area. Also our cheese can be found at several local retail stores throughout Central Oregon.

Production Practices

Here at Windy Acres Dairy we believe our Animals health, wellness and vitality is essential and equal to our own! For us healthy animals starts with healthy soil which means we grow green healthy grass!

We practice rotational grazing practices and we utilize herbal remedies for both the soil and our animals. We do NOT use antibiotics in the milk line. If there was a life and death situation for one of our beloved cows and it was appropriate we would consider use of antibiotics at that time. Products from those animals would of course not go into any of our milk or dairy based products.

We strive to follow Biodynamic practices and try to go beyond Organic standards where possible. Our beloved Cows, Sheep, Chickens and pigs are on pasture year round and given supplemental barley. In addition we provide our cows with local clay, herbs and free choice minerals.

Grazing, Pasture and Nutrient Management Practices

Our Animals are on pasture year round. We utilize electric fences to divide pastures and rotate the animals through out the seasons. Our birds are free range, getting into everything! We finish our animals on the farm because we strongly value grass fed and grass finished. We do not use any chemical sprays or fertilizers on our fields. Instead we compost our Manure and spread our liquid manure both on our farm and on neighboring farms.

Environmental Conservation

We practice rotational grazing and Biodynamic Composting and other Biodynamic techniques to conserve our soil and water.
