You can read the proposed rules (i.e. draft rules) for the Oregon Meat Processing Infrastructure and Capacity Building Grant Program. ODA will hold a hearing on December 15, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm for these proposed rules. If approved, these rules will be effective in January 2022.
Need for the Rules
House Bill 2785 requires the Oregon Department of Agriculture to establish by rule a grant program to enhance the state’s capacity to process protein.
